Field of expertise:

Clinical neurophysiology, Neuroscience/Translational neurology, Neurorehabilitation, Dementia and cognitive disorders, Higher cortical functions, Movement disorders

Main clinical topics:

I am a clinician and neuroscientist with 30 years of clinical and scientific experience. Initially trained as a neuropsychiatrist further specialising as a neurologist, I have always had a strong passion for science and research. My clinical and research interests started with cognitive impairments and dementia, then included movement disorders and motor control, while over the last 20 years I have been increasingly involved in research related to brain plasticity: its capacity to change, to gain new functions and to adapt to lesions (and overcome them). My special clinical and research expertise is clinical neurophysiology, in particular quantified electroencephalography and noninvasive brain stimulation.
